Bio

Descendant of a Brown/Shelman marriage and a Ferguson/Horton, most from Ohio then migrating to northern Missouri/southern Iowa. Now a Missouri/Iowa transplant living in south central Wisconsin. I have spent years searching my own family but decided to do work on Find A Grave and the contributions that I can make.

My favorite projects are finding cemetery lists and entering them onto Find A Grave so their family members can find their family.

***I am currently transcribing 1887-1888 IOWA deaths onto Find A Grave (winter project 2022-2024). I have completed 1886 IOWA STILLBORN BIRTHS onto Find A Grave. I have completed all of the 1884, 1885 & 1886 Iowa birth records.

I am happy to make transfers to anyone who is a direct line family member - just ask via the "edit" tab. I have no interest in managing thousands of memorials that are not my own family so if you find a family member and have an interest in managing their memorial - just ask!

Love helping others to find their family and the bonus is being outside in the sunshine while taking the photos!

#### YOU HAVE MY PERMISSION TO USE ANY OF MY PHOTOS WITHOUT ASKING. COMMON COURTESY IS WHEN YOU COPY IT SHOULD SAY BENEATH THE PHOTO "Photo by Jacki Bierma"

ALSO: I do not put "cause of death" on any of my memorials. I believe that information should be on family trees only. In addition, please do not put my name down on any memorial that I contributed information. Find A Grave guidelines now recommends not doing this - it is confusing to people and they think I might be a relative so I am getting questions about what I know about a person that I have only made a suggested edit on someone elses' memorial .

TO EVERYONE DOWNLOADING PHOTOS - PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE POSITION OF YOUR PHOTOS - SO MANY ARE SHOWING UP SIDEWAYS ON MEMORIALS.

NOTE - PLEASE DO NOT SEND EDITS TO JUST ADD A PERIOD AFTER A MIDDLE INITIAL OR MALE/FEMALE DESIGNATION - IT MAKES SO MUCH UNNECESSARY WORK. Find A Grave guidelines recommends checking the male/female designation only when there might be some confusion on whether the first name belongs to a male or a female. All memorials do NOT have to have this designation.
