Fallen Graver

Sadly, Joe Breimayer has passed away. Please consider visiting their Find a Grave memorial page and leaving some virtual flowers. Their enthusiasm for cemeteries and willingness to help future generations lives on through their contributions to Find a Grave.

Bio

I am a descendant of Ferdinand and Agata Breimayer who emigrated from neighboring villages Andelfingen and Friedingen in the Biberach District of Wuerrtemberg in about 1854, married about 1856, settled with acquaintances and relatives in Freedom Twp, Washtenaw County, Michigan in 1859, moved to Otisco Twp, Ionia County in 1877, and are buried in St. Mary's Miriam Cemetery near Smyrna, Michigan, leaving eight offspring living at their deaths, most of whom are buried in the same cemetery. I have researched the family ancestry and descendants, and a summary appears on the Ferdinand Breimayer memorial 42883516 that I maintain. I grew up on a farm in Otisco Twp and then in Belding, Michigan and am now retired from my career as a patent attorney. I am interested in maintaining the Findagrave memorials for their descendants, many of whom are buried in the same cemetery or in nearby cemeteries in Belding and Smyrna, particularly, St. Joseph's Cemetery in Belding. I have photographs of most of the tombstones in these cemeteries.

After linking and editing my maternal and paternal ancestors and relatives, I have embarked on linking all individuals interred in St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Cemeteries, which sometimes extends far afield to other cemeteries in Michigan and elsewhere. I search for obituaries to post as photos or bio text and use (along with other sources) to suggest edits. I appreciate the consideration given to my suggested links and edits by everyone who have created and/or maintain these memorials.
