I'm a serious history head. For almost twenty years I have been independently researching antebellum and pre-antebellum Alabama. My wanderings have taken me throughout the Black Belt Region. I've also done research in Jefferson county in the Birmingham, Bessemer, Plesant Grove, and McCalla areas. As you would expect i've often found myself in the graceful solitude of many cemeteries. I love to research the names on the stones. I've also specialized in cataloging the location of slave cemeteries. I know of noone else doing such work. I hope that my photos assist your efforts to grow your family tree.
