I am an avid family researcher but by no means an expert! My wish is to find out all I can about my family so that I can leave my son with a great and proud legacy.

I was born in Summerville, SC and have lived here most of my life. For a brief few years in the 70s my Mama and I lived in Morgan City, LA.

As far as we know our families have been in the Lee, Horry, Darlington, Lancaster, Manning, Bishopville, Hartsville, Charleston, and Berkeley county areas of SC since at least the 1800s.

I am most interested in locating the Dyson and Riley lines back as far as possible. But I am actively researching all the following family names:

Father's side ~ Grainger, Jordan, Bland, Tyler, Dew, Todd, Stevens, Hyman;

To rescue from oblivion the history of a large and honorable family is a praiseworthy achievement.
