I was born in the city of Aurora, Kane Co., Illinois (Copley Hospital) on November 20, 1953 to my parents, Winifred "Babe" Blanche Kouth Evans and Robert Duane Evans, Jr. I lived on my grandparents' farm with my grandparents and my family until the age of 2 when we moved to Waterman, DeKalb Co., Illinois. My brother was born on June 18, 1957 in the DeKalb Hospital. My father was a farmer and my mother was a homemaker. I went through the Waterman School System from Kindergarten through 12th grade and graduated in 1971. I then attended Illinois Wesleyan University and graduated in 1975.
