Bio

Fr. David Charles Ellner
North American Old Catholic Church
Connecticut Society of Genealogists (Member #21292)
East Haven CT Historical Society (Member)

Genealogist for the ELLNER family along with the paternal and maternal names JOHNS (Jahn), KORN (Kern), DAMMLING, GRIMM, SCHLAAK, SCHADE, HASSELBACH, TOWNSHEND

Currently working on a comprehensive spreadsheet of all the burials at the Grove Street Cemetery in New Haven. This will include not only name DOB, DOD and grave location, but place of birth, place of death, cause of death, family links, and biographical information.

Additionally, I have just completed transcribing all the internments at the Woodin Street Cemetery (Potters Field) in New Haven into Find A Grave and will be combing through this list to identify unmarked veterans buried here. One I have found the vets buried here, I can then start the process of applying to the Veterans Administration to have markers placed free of charge (this is a benefit available to all veteran with an honorable discharge).

I am always happy to transfer management of any memorials I have created to their living descendants, all you have to to is ask. A large part of my ministry is connecting families with their ancestors. Nothing is more satisfying than the moment I transfer a memorial into the control of blood relatives.
