I am from the Goderre family who resided in Gardner in the mid 1800's.
My grandmother was Nellie Goderre the oldest child of Ameda Goderre and Hannah Murphy.
Nellie married Albert Brown and they produced 3 sons., Wendell who passed away in June of 1970 of a heart attack, Stanley who was the middle child who passed away in Glendale California in April of 1968 of heart attack and Leonard Henry Brown, my Dad who passed away April of 1970 of a heart attack.
Nellie had several sisters. I remember Anna Goderre Bernard who lived in Gardner, and Margaret Goderee Bergin who lived in Waterbury Conn.
My father lived with his Mother Nellie in Waterbury Conn until her death in about 1938. Per her death certificate she was buried in St John's Cemetery in Gardner MA. but never found this gravesite.
Her parents were Ameda Goderre and Hannah Murphy. At one time I did see a family plot at St Johns or Notre Dame but subsequent trips to these cemeteries I did not find the graves.
If there are any Goderres out there that might know where these ancestors are laid to rest it would be appreciated.
I know of George Goderre(one of Nellie's brothers) who is laid to rest at Green Bower Cemetery in Gardner, but research of this site does not reveal any other Goderres at Gardner cemeteries.
