Tom Palmer, born in 1955 at Fort Scott, KS.

I went through the entire public school system in Fort Scott, including Community College, then went on to get a BFA degree in Graphic Design from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

My main work occupation has been as an advertising agency art director. Variations of this have included print and interactive graphic designer and location photographer.

Since leaving Ft. Scott, I have lived in Kansas City, Chicago, Austin, La Jolla (San Diego) and Tampa.

During my career I have enjoyed periods where I traveled extensively by car across the United States. I have visited 49 states and 5 Canadian Provinces. While traveling, I love to photograph tombstones for their artistic qualities. I have a large collection of cemetery photographs I have taken over the years.

Hopefully in the future, I will be able to continue documenting gravestones and will be able to add many of my shots to this site for people's enjoyment.
