Bio

Milton Hershey School (MHS), formerly Hershey Industrial School, was once a school and home for orphan boys...created by Milton S. Hershey, founder of Hershey Chocolate. I arrived in 1956, at age 5 through graduation in 1968. The attached photo is my MHS graduation picture.

In 1975, I was the Program Director for Junior Achievement (JA) of Baltimore...in 1977 the Executive Director for JA in Roanoke, VA...in 1980 the President of JA in Jacksonville, FL and for my final 16 years, in 1991 became the President of JA of Western Pennsylvania, Inc. My dedication to more than 1,000,000 K-12 students I had, throughout my 32 year career, was because of Milton S. Hershey.

In 2007, I created "Protect the Hersheys' Children, Inc." and was the first President. Our objective was MHS reform. Most, if not all, would expect their Will to be executed as written yet our benefactor, Mr. Hershey, had his changed repeatedly and often for self-serving reasons, sad to say.

And yet, my hope and prayer, is that all MHS Alumni will become united as Mr. Hershey would have wanted us all to be. After all, in effect, we're true brothers. Which is why "Buddy" is one I'll never forget.
