My paternal ancestors hailed from New England, more specifically the states of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont, and even New Brunswick, Canada. My maternal ancestors were originally from Canada—specifically from the shores of Nova Scotia and its associated Islands—eventually immigrating to the US and settling in the New England states of Maine and Massachusetts.
