Reading about the hardships my ancestors faced gives me a sense of gratitude and respect for them. It makes me realize how easy we really have it. My father's Harness line is of Swiss/German origin. The name Harnish was spelled Harness on a document and from that we became Harness. My mother's surnames include Gipson (Gibson),Collins, Lawson, Bowling and others in my family tree.
