I am Rhonda Gale Smith (maiden name Kent)reside in Denton, MD., daughter of John Carl Kent and Patricia Dean Kent (maiden name Trent)both still live in Severn, Maryland
My grandparents (father's side) are Martin David Kent and Effie Susieann Kent (maiden name Williams) both are buried at Bernie, MO
My grandparents (mother's side) are Frank Ray Trent and Virginia M "June" Trent (maiden name Case) of Sneedville, Tennessee. My grandmother "Mama June" as I always called her passed away on May 17, 2006 and is buried in Morristown, Tennessee.
I have two sons, Ronald Carl Smith of Federalsburg, MD and Ryan Dwayne Smith of Pasadena, MD. My youngest son Ryan has a daughter named Ryleigh.
My GGGG Grandfather Thomas Kent was born March 1,1748 in Derry, Ireland. He came to America & settled on Smith Creek near Waynesburg, PA. He enlisted in the Revolutionary War July 1, 1776 in Cecil County, Maryland. Served 9 months under Capt. Maxwell, Maryland Company of Flying Camp, discharged 4-1-1777.He married Ann Ralston in 1777, they had 14 children. Their marriage lasted 53 years, both died in 1835, he at the age of 87, she at 76. Thomas Kent was buried in East Waynesburg, PA Cemetery. His will is on record in Green County court house, Vol.2, pg.8.
