Born in Wisconsin, I have been researching my family for over 30 years in the Milwaukee area. When my mother died in 1997 she was cremated and I carried her ashes to Hawaii where she had vacationed with me years prior. It bothered me that there is no marker to commemorate her life so I added her to FAG. I added my father, brother, grandparents and friends who had passed. I think it is so cool that their will always be a record of them. I now live in Tennessee where there are a ton of small cemeteries so I started taking pictures of the headstones and adding the person and a picture of the stone on FAG. I have been a photo volunteer for some time now and have added over 3500 photos and over 285 memorials.
