'We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story, and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.'

Who I Am: I'm an amateur genealogist, inspired by two amazing grandparents - Si Miller #171923250 and Mary Dorso Toth #30100603 - who had such pride in their ancestry and shared it with me. I hate to see memorials go unmanaged so will scoop them up - thus I'm often not related to the graves I manage. Please let me know if you would like to manage a memorial that I have, and with very few exceptions I would love to transfer management to you.

Where I Work: Primarily in southeastern Minnesota and surrounding areas. I lived for a few years in Michigan so did some cemeteries there too, and often work on my husband's family cemeteries when we're in the Deep South. I have trained my children to identify cemeteries on road trips, so you never know where I'll be doing some cemetery work!

Etiquette, Long Version: I appreciate correction when anything I do is outside of the guidelines as established by Find a Grave, and appreciate your consideration of them as well. We're all volunteers here and are all deserving of respect during interactions with each other. Getting nasty messages sucks the joy out of such an incredibly amazing hobby/lifework, and we're all here for the same reason - to preserve what is at risk of being lost.

Etiquette Short Version: Don't be a dick.
