Bio

History and Genealogy enthusiast.

A lifelong resident of my hometown who enjoys volunteering for Find A Grave by fulfilling photo requests, adding articles of documentation to memorials, and any other known or confirmed information that may assist anyone trying to find their connection to their relative or friend.

When fulfilling photo requests of hard-to-read gravestones/headstones/markers; I do not* use flour or chalk dust. A flashlight or mirror reflecting sunlight will suffice to read hard-to-read gravestones. Some consider the practice of using flour and chalk dust disrespectful and may contribute to damage to older monuments.

I do not* clean non-relative headstones, I have cleaned my family members' headstones using water and a soft-bristle brush which turned out perfectly. Never* use any household or industrial chemicals on any monument or stone. Should you wish to clean your loved ones' headstones with anything other than water, D2 is a safe, natural, and biodegradable solution that is used by headstone cleaning enthusiasts. Age and condition of the headstone are major factors to consider despite your good intentions. You should always consult someone in the masonry profession before cleaning any headstone.

Thank you to all FG photo volunteers who have or will fulfill photo requests of mine, I value your time and efforts in each instance.

To respect your time and effort; I will provide as much known detail to the request, ie; plot, known or unknown headstone placement, and confirmation of interment at the requested cemetery.

Thank you!
