I've been researching my family off and on since about 1995. The last few years, though, I've stepped up my research. I first got interested in high school when my father told me that his side of the family descends from Israel Boone, Daniel's older brother, and a well-known minister in Mississippi, Rev. Nathan L. Clarke.

I am researching a long list of names, in addition to Clarke, but the most recent are Powell, Rowzee, and Puckett in GA, SC, and MS and Trevathan, Cleaver, and Sowell in NC and KY.
