I'm a retired electronic engineer who married late in life & is spending retirement keeping mom happy & raising two sons, the older a sushi chef & the younger graduated from Purdue in Computer Science Dec 2020.

That isn't enough to keep me busy, so I'm also trying to figure out my family tree…

Back in 1997, my dad took me to all the family graves he knew of, 11 tiny cemeteries in Parke & Sullivan counties Indiana. Since then, I got a copy of grandma's DAR application & discovered he missed one with lots of early pioneer forbearers. & Find A Grave found an even earlier DAR forbearer in Ohio!

The one grave I can't find is my great grandfather Elijah Burnett, a farmer. Apparently he died in 1890 during an outbreak of "La Grippe" and as everybody else was sick & dying, they buried him someplace on the farm. Everybody who knew about where he was buried has since died & I can't even figure out where the farm was. …but I'm having fun!

& my youngest learned how to drive by taking me to obscure country cemeteries!
