Bio
Hi. I have been doing genealogy research on my JESTINGS surname for about sixteen years now. I hit my brick wall about ten years ago with my immigrant, Joseph Jestings, that came from England (where-abouts unknown) to Annapolis county, Nova Scotia in the early 1800s.
He married an Anne PHINNEY (born in Parrsboro, Cumberland county, NS) in 1806, who I believe to be a descendent to one of the Mayflower families, which makes me one too!
I live in Newport where my great grandfather James came to from his birthplace in Nova Scotia, Canada in the late 1800s and I would be happy to get photos for anyone searching for ancestors in this area. Any help on my surname would be most appreciated. Happy researching!
