Much to my surprise I discovered that my roots run deep in Halifax & Mecklenburg County, and actually extend back to colonial times in Jamestown. Walking through woods and listing cemeteries and it's interments that are in obscure out of the way places is an enjoyable pastime. It's important that they are listed somewhere more permanently and not lost to time. So in years to come when someone like you or me starts looking for their ancestors we'll have played some small part in helping them with their search.
