I was born and raised in Sherman, Grayson County, Tx. , the youngest daughter of James Elbert and Bonnie (Head) Garrett . I would not exist if my father hadn't refused to sign the papers at the hospital after my sister before me was born. I am working on my ancestry and I have had my DNA done with Ancestry and I am on Gedmatch too.

I am a mother of three children , one girl and two boys, all three have made me a grandmother. My daughter made me a grandmother at 36 yrs of age. I have a total of 8 at this time , the youngest was born this year (2019) and is my second child's baby . One is a step-grand daughter from my daughters spouse's first marriage. I have been married twice, my first marriage was for 7 yrs and all three of my children are from that "marriage". My 2nd husband helped me raise my kids, their biological was never there for them. My grandchildren are my heart and soul, and of course their parents. I am so thankful to have them in my life and I hope they all will have fond memories of me when I am gone.

I was injured in a car accident Nov. 2016 ( I was rear ended at a stop light) by an older woman who was doing 40-45 miles an hour and didn't even attempt to slow down or stop. Her exact words were , I don't know what I am doing. That woman and her incompetence put me on disability for the rest of my life, I am no longer able to physically do the things that I once could with ease. Now even standing or sitting for more than 20 minutes puts me in pain to where I can't walk. Not looking for sympathy , just telling a bit of my life.
