In Findagrave, thatch1120 is actually two people, thatch1120, and ann0606. Ann is responsible primarily for photography while Thatch does navigation, internet, and vehicle maintenance. We had visited and photographed in more than 200 cemeteries in southwest Louisiana before being introduced to Findagrave. Our photography has mostly concentrated on graves of civil war veterans and their families and contemporaries. We have a large number of these photos which we are happy to share with anyone who might request them. We have not photographed a lot of recent burials, and probably will not be able to to respond to many requests for those. We also have a number of interesting photos documenting the devastation of coastal cemeteries by hurricanes Rita and Ike and the condition of "lost" and abandoned cemeteries. We hope to connect with others and work on finding more of the lost cemeteries and getting access to cemeteries on private land (unlike other some other states, Louisiana has no law requiring landowners to make cemeteries accessible to the public).
