I joined Find A Grave years ago, and used it to look up a few out town ancestor's for genealogy research. Recently, on a drive to see wildflowers, remembering that information, I was able to direct my husband to his family's cemetery that he had never heard about. We arrived minutes before it was completely dark. We are making plans to return to work on the stones and put flowers out. It made me happy to be able to share that information with him!

Since that day, my sister-in-law and I have begun looking at the sites for my father's family and we are planning a trip to visit those that are near where she lives. (She has already researched and done restorations on some of her ancestor's headstones).

Many of my family sites are missing relative connections that I know from doing genealogy research. My goal is to get them linked for others who are doing research; and, to do some restoration work in the future. Also, last night I realized I can transcribe photos and I am happy to do that. I hope the information I share helps others locate family sites just as I have been doing and maybe in the process I will meet some living extended relatives with whom I can share genealogical gems!
