I am the only child of my father, Doug Sackett, and the fourth and youngest child of my mother, Pat Childs.

I was born in Southfield, MI on 21 Dec 1966, and spent most of my childhood and early adulthood in Pasadena, CA. In the U.S. Army I was stationed at Ft. Jackson, SC and Ft. Gordon, GA. I have lived in Las Vegas, NV since 1995.

I inherited my interest in genealogy from my mother, and have done a good amount of research on my father's maternal line (Breen, Branson, Spore, Gilliam, Shaw, and other surnames) from the Boise area and Southern Oregon. I don't have as much time to spend on family history as I'd like (but then, who does, right?), but I'm always interested in connecting with distant cousins and sharing family information.
