I retired from the Military October 2010. I worked at Shaw AFB for 1 year after retiring and then for the VA Regional Office in Columbia, SC for 2 years. I am now babysitting my grandchildren 2 or 3 days a week. I have been using Family Tree Maker and Ancestry.com for much of my research. I have also made trips to various cemetaries to locate relatives. I now take pictures instead of writing all the information down. I live in the 29061 zip code but would not feel comfortable going to the cemetaries in this area without someone else accompanying me.
