Bio

Genealogist since age 17. My grandfather Willie W. Edwards assisted me with a school project and that was when I started searching and I never stopped. I have enjoyed the research throughout the years. I enjoy stopping at cemeteries and taking pictures, and discovering new information of family members.

My grandpa Edwards was the best storyteller of the family history and many of his leads were correct. In memory of my grandpa Edwards and the many trips we took to Hill Cemetery, Ayersville, Defiance County, Ohio, I continue this work for the Edwards family and related lines of ancestry. In memory of my grandparents, Willie W. Edwards and Iva Bell Hoover Edwards, Wayne, Ohio, I dedicate this work.

The picture shown as my profile picture is one of a great find. Since I was about 10 years old, I wanted to see Leona Hoover's grave site, my grandma Iva Bell Hoover Edwards' sister who died in Missouri at age 17. In summer of 2022, my husband and I were out on vacation and we stopped to find her grave. At age 62 (52 years later) I completed the work of this special mission. I returned her lock of hair and a piece of her shroud to be buried at her site. I have had her memory book all these years as my grandmother gave it to me.

The lines that are prominent that I research for my dad's side of the family are:
Edwards
Bennett
Brumbaugh
Coble
Hoover
Sheets
Easterday

For my mothers' side:
Wrench
Smith
Baker
Shull

For my husband's line:
Morton
