Bio

I am an amateur genealogy buff – I simply began some ten years ago to search out my Trimble roots. I have now become infected by the search to find as much about my ancestors as possible!

I began with what my parents told me – I was Scots-Irish on my father's side, and German on my mother's. I have now learned, much to the amusement of my parents, that my father's side is (through marriage) dominated by Pennsylvania Mennonites. And similarly my mother's German ancestors have consistently married English.

If anyone has any information about the heritage of the Philadelphia Trimble family I would appreciate a note! I have run into a dead end with Edmond (aka Edw., Edwin, Edward) Trimble (1817-1896) and his wife Caroline Siddall (1822-1890). Similarly, the roots of the Minnick (aka Minick, Minich) in Luzerne County, PA have not been researched and/or made available in the public web spaces.
