Find a Grave ID

Bio

Just a bit of info here. Windham county Vermont area is my homeland. I spend time in spurts at various cemeterys and have a grave interest in the cultural history of my large family trees.

Over the many years of the growing internet population and availability of public historical information by legitimate sources I have enjoyed collecting information of the family trees.

I shall be sharing and adding as much information and photograph images from my visits to the many cemetery stones I can. This is a interest for me comes in spurts. I am not one to spend a lot of my time with emails. If you have the patients and are polite with a request for me to visit a cemetery in my area , please ask. If you are in search of a family name from this area, please give the surname and a quick bit of info to help guide my GPS to find the cemetarys I will seek out the stone marker as soon as I can.

Thank you. I try to be as accurate as possible and make it my practice to double check all information so as to make the information and images I provide as accurate and fact based as possible.

I walk around some grave sites and feel it to be very important to record all that is readable on a grave marker before nature erases it. I am in hopes that my efforts will give current and future seekers of information about the people who have been placed at sites I record can gain the knowledge they seek. I work hard to be as accurate as is possible and so shall use quotations to ensure what I write here is exactly as it is written on the grave marker. I will also try to include source information as is available.

Again, this for me is a fact based site and shall keep it my practice to be as clear as possible. Many older stones have faded text I state this and if it is a best quess of what the text might be shall include this without quotations and will use "?" to mark that it is a best guess at what the text looks to be. The "?" mark will be on both side of my guess ?like this? I do hope that is not too confusing for you. This is my way to try and preserve the information at these fading markers of those who have come before us.

Thank you to the site owner for this tool. I do hope I am able to serve our community and all others in search of family ties.
