I have always had a love for old cemeteries since my childhood. Unfortunately, I never got interested in genealogy until I was around 40 or so, and by then, the grandparents and others of their age had passed. I missed a wealth of personal knowledge and ability to have old photos identified. I have gotten reinterested lately and like many on this site, its become addictive. I retired from being a police officer and detective after 40 yrs and genealogy fits easily into a detective style investigation as we all know.
