Happily retired after 43 yrs in Healthcare. I am originally from Norfolk, Virginia and am currently living in Tarkio, Missouri. I spent major holidays in cemeteries with my grandmother, great aunt and great uncles. It was their family duty to clean the family gravesites and place flowers on family graves at the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Windsor, Va. I always found it to be an adventure. I am one of the founding members of the Norfolk Society for Cemetery Conservation in Norfolk, Virginia. Our focus was to maintain graves and repair headstones in Elmwood and Cedar Grove cemeteries in Norfolk, Virginia. One of our major fundraising events was a yearly 5K run through Elmwood Cemetery. I am currently exploring the cemeteries in rural Missouri and living my best life.
