I am fond of genealogy, my Schaffter Swiss ancestors all come from Moutier, a village in the canton du Jura. I live in France not far from the Swiss border and have both nationalities.
I am exploring the migrations of the Schaffters to various places, Argentina, Brazil, India and of course America.
Thanks to this marvellous site! So far I have been able to find a lot of cousins and to exchange with some of their descendants who are also interested in genealogy: Berdat, Beuchat, Beuret, Bouverat, Joliat, Pic, from the canton du Jura, Schaffter and others from the canton de Berne.
