I'm the family genealogist, but my interest in history and love of people has expanded my work on Find-A-Grave to include many other special people. I believe everyone has a story and I want them recorded for history. I was born and raised in Crete, Saline County, Nebraska. My parents owned the local newspaper The Crete News, but both were not natives of Crete. My Dad came to Crete to attend Doane in 1949 and my Mom came to Crete to teach at Doane in 1959. I have a B.A. in Business Administration and Art from Doane and a certificate of International Business from the University of Copenhagen Denmark. I worked at Ameritas Life insurance for 20 years, The Gallup Organization and Doane University. I owned the historic Isis Theatre in Crete, Nebraska and Get the Picture Video in Crete on the side. There's a lot to tell, but thought those were the main points.
