George Wellock was my Grandfathers brother and my mothers uncle. My Grandfather never spoke about his brother, my Grandmother always said that he was lost in France. As I became older I became more interested of what actually happened to George and where exactly he was lost. I investigated the War Graves Commission records and found the location of where he was finally laid to rest. My younger son and I first visited his grave in September of 2014, returning in September 2016 to visit the area we he fell in battle.
