I am a life long resident of the Van Alstyne area. I was born and reared in the Elmont community which is about 2 1/2 miles west of Van Alstyne. My ancestors have been around Elmont, Farmington and Van Alstyne for many years. I attended Van Alstyne Schools and graduated in 1962.I am married to the former Mary Gayle Douglas whose family has also been here many years.We built a house in Van Alstyne in 1965 and have resided there since.
