When I joined in 2014, I was embroiled in a whole-house remodel which morphed into a couple of years decline and death of my spouse. It's taken a while to get my bearings.
Meanwhile, life goes on, and so I discover my interests in genealogy and the trail our ancestors left behind in the cemeteries of the world draw me back to FindAGrave.

Our graves are the most durable mark we leave on this earth. Perhaps not lasting through all eternity, but until the winds wipe our names from hard stone, and Earth magnetically confuses every digital record to unreadable gibberish.

I am mindful of an old saying which I shall always remember:
Oh Lord, let all my words be sweet, for I may have to eat them.
God bless us all.
Please note: I live very close to Pinecrest Cemetery in Mobile. I've approached the staff about identifying the graves with photo requests for FindAGrave. They do not have an easy setup for us to locate graves. I was told that available staff would need to give me that information, with some difficulty for more than one reason. My career as a librarian involved setting up systems to retrieve information, so I could easily solve their problem.....but my suggestion got nowhere, sad to say.
