I have been curious concerning my genealogy ever since I was dragged to the family cemeteries at a very early age. It never occurred to me that cemeteries were places to fear and that the people buried there would ever try to hurt me. When we visited my uncle and aunt who had much older children, and no toys, the cemetery across the road was where we were were allowed to run around (throughout not by the graves). Since then, I have to admit when I go to new places, I often go to a cemetery. I did go to Europe in the '80's and spent some of my time trying to find the military grave of one of my uncles killed in WW II, and of course I had to see the famous cemeteries (and not so famous), in Paris. The graveyard does not signify where the dead are resting, but a representation of the people that once had experiences as full as my own, and by reading the limited information, there are stories that can be imagined.
