I have always enjoyed history and biographies but really didn't take an active interest in my own families history until I retired. Unfortunately it was just after I lost my mother, who would have been a wealth of information if only I had asked the questions. My sister and I enjoy working together, visiting cemeteries, libraries, online searching, etc. Our other sisters had nicknamed us the "grave diggers" because of our love of visiting old cemeteries however we have renamed our team the "treasure hunters" because of the wonderful family history we have uncovered. I have a goal of adding missing photographs to our little hometown cemetery in Nebraska.
