My name is Michela, I'm Italian and I have been in the US for 25 years. I have been wanting to work on genealogy for quite some time, but I don't know much how to go about it, how to find information, and how to know if the people I find are really my ancestors when I don't know anything about them. I would like to find pictures and stories of them; since I come from Italy, I would assume most of them would be from there or somewhere in Europe, although I know of some that came to the US a while back... Any help will be appreciated as I'm excited to embark in this work!
