Bio

Hello fellow taphophiles & genealogists! I am a native of Denver who enjoys genealogy research and visiting graveyards. I've really enjoyed doing the volunteer work for Find A Grave, and I love hearing how my photographs can help with the memory of a loved one or fill in the blanks for family records. Thank you for any messages you leave me, I read and appreciate them all.

EDITS: I often forget to check for edits, so feel free to email or leave a message to let me know you sent one. Unless you don't mind waiting a week or two.

TRANSFERS: I'm happy to transfer memorials to relatives, just let me know. If I've filled a photo request for you and ended up finding and adding another family member, I'm happy to turn the new memorial over to you as well. I'm very grateful to the volunteers who have photographed my loved one's graves. I am not a memorial collector here, I won't mind if you request a transfer.

MY PHOTOS: I always edit my photos and try to upload the best quality photos I can, and believe all volunteers should as well. I usually upload an up close shot of the grave marker as well as the grave and surroundings so that if someone wants to visit the grave, it will be easier to find based off my photos. If I've photographed a grave for you during winter (Colorado's brown and gray season) I'm happy to go back in the spring or summer for a "prettier" shot of the grave. The quality of my photography is important to me!

UNMARKED GRAVES: I also believe in uploading photos of unmarked graves (it's Find A Grave--not Find A Marked Grave--a grave is a grave!) and you'll see--if I've done so for your photo request--that I add text over the spot where I'm told the grave is located. I can absolutely remove this text if you just want an unaltered photo of the unmarked grave.

REPRODUCING: You have my permission to use, save, and reproduce my photos for your family records, I just ask that you don't re-post them anywhere on Find A Grave or use them in any way involved with a subscription or for-pay information. I volunteer and take photos to share info, not so strangers can charge others for my photos.

Thanks!
Heather
