I was born in 1938 in Newville, Pa., son of Charles W. and Kathryn E. Koser Millhouse. Graduated from Big Spring H.S. in 1955. B.S. from Shippensburg Univ. in 1959. Worked for NASA from 1959 to 1962. Started studies in Physics at Va. Tech. in 1963. Got M.S. in 1965 and Ph.D. in Physics in 1970. Decided to go for one year to Europe to work, but never got back. Worked first in Denmark where I met my future wife, Tove, who was a waitress in Roskilde. I moved to Switzerland in 1971 where Tove and I married in 1973. We moved to Berlin in 1975 and to Hamburg in 1982. I retired in 2003, my wife passed away in 2005. I am still living in Hamburg, Germany. My sister, Susan Jean Millhouse Stamy lives in Newville.
