WARNING - If you request changes by sending to my email, they will be deleted without action. ALL CHANGES must be requested using the edit button on the appropriate memorial.

I turned off my msgs on my profile. Please send all edits thru the memorials.

I will not approve requests such as putting a "period" after an initial.

If requested to adjust inscription spacing, it will be declined and left as is. Sorry.

I do not accept subtraction DOB's

If you are reading this because you think that edits aren't being done in a timely manner, please be patient. Yes, I'm still an active member. We as managers have twenty (20) days to accept or not accept each suggestion.

Newspaper obits can and should be published on FAG but please give credit to the newspaper. And if transcribing, PLEASE, double-check for typos. It should run as written.

PLEASE do not add censuses in the picture section on any of my memorials. I think they "junk" up the picture section. Information from census can be send thru edit tab to add to the bio section.

I will not transfer any memorials if relationship is not listed. If it is not listed in the SAC, I will just ignore it.

I take care of edits first. Then I get to the email suggestions as I have time. Please be patient.

Please do NOT put bios with the flowers you leave on the memorials I manage. Send information thru "other suggestions" on the memorial. I can then add into the bio section where the information should be placed....Thank you

Do try to be polite when submitting edits for the memorials I manage. I have inherited many memorials over the last year and try to correct as I get edits through that tab on the memorial. Please realize that the information on these memorials was NOT created by me. You will have to direct your anger towards the person who created the memorial and that would mainly be a deceased person.....BE KIND...we all make mistakes....

For those who take it upon themselves to be the Findagrave police, adding a please and thank you would go a long way.

I will consider the transfer of ownership of a memorial, unless they are part of my own genealogical research.

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to manage the memorials you have, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

I don't estimate birth years. The relatives of the dearly departed not only could get the date of death wrong on the monument but the age at death. Too many people take anything they find on the Internet as gospel, and I will not contribute to that bad habit. (Borrowed from another FAG Contributor)

I DO NOT connect to burials unknown. Please find the grave before asking me to connect anyone to an unknown grave memorial.

This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

"If you wonder about your 'roots', you have 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations - 300 years or so- you have 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro & Richard Jordan

If I ask for additional information, please send documentation using the edit tab and selecting "suggest other..." from the memorial. If I ask for additional information, please send within a few days of my asking.
