Bio

I've been researching my French, English and possible Metis family for over 15 years on Ancestry, my interest sparked by a cousin from Quebec, and research she had done looking up parish records and transcribing them. A maternal cousin had been doing research and volunteer work for the Mormons and also lent information to my tree. I upgraded to include a world membership and Find a Grave and Newspapers which has really filled out my research. I hope to retire in a year or two at which time I hope to assist with photo contributions, and clean up my tree entries. I have been in touch with a well known private cemetery in my area, and surprised to find there is no map or spreadsheet of its interred! I hope to change that.
In the meantime, I've gone back centuries with the help of the expansion of online data banks, DNA confirmation and verbal family histories. Sadly, my parents generation have all passed, but I was able to mine some information, including newspaper clippings, photos, and mass cards that had been invaluable in my research.
