Bio

I reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My paternal grandmother recently a passed away and left me many documents regarding our family history.

My grandmother, Gladys (Lynn) Holtan's (April 16, 1916 - April 12, 2014) great-grandparents lived in Chippewa Falls, WI. William S. Lynn (born in Canada on April 15, 1861) and Mary (Mills) Lynn (1863-1843).

Ironically, my great-great grandfather William S. Lynn and his brother James Horace Lynn, married two Mills sisters, Mary and Georgianna Mills (PA and NY respectively).

And my grandfather (an airline pilot and inventor) Capt. Charles Hanley Holtan's parents lived in Waterville.

His father was the town doctor and also worked with the "Doctors Mayo, of the now famous Mayo Clinic), Dr. Theodore Holtan (1883 - 1948) and his wife, Mabel (Amundson) E. Holtan (1890 - 1960) was a school teacher.

I joined Genealogy. And I'm working on entering in paperwork and tracing our family (starting with my paternal side). And taking photos of my their home and burial sites.

Will be an interesting journey.
