Bio

I am the daughter of Eric Wheatley Hellems and Jennifer Grace Roane Hellems. My father's parents are Harper Ketih Hellems and Anne Alexia Wheatley Hellems, both from West Virginia. My mother's parents are Thomas Walter Roane of Tennessee and Grace Inez Nix Roane of Ripley, MS. I joined this site to utilize it as a means of learning more about my family history. I have a good bit of information from my dad's brother, Keith, and know that a few of the surnames from my the paternal side of my family include Eppling, Bell, Patton, Snodgrass. That side of my family hails mostly from West Virginia. As far as maternal lineage, offhand the only surnames I am able to list are Roane, Culbreath, Nix, and Inez. To my knowledge those family names are rooted in Tennessee and Mississippi. My great Aunt Helen did document the Roane line, but I do not currently have that info. Please feel free to email me with any questions or information that would be insightful, just be sure to use a header that grabs my attention so that I don't dismiss it as spam. I look forward to learning new things about my genealogy! Thanks to all who have contributed to this great site!
