My heritage is a melting pot of mysteries. On my Dad's side, his mother was born on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin. She was adopted by another family after her mother died, even though her dad later remarried. On my Mom's side her mother's mother died very young, leaving her to live with other relatives in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The two families ended up in the little town of Whiting, Indiana near Chicago, Illinois and the next generation would be trying to unravel the family mysteries of all of the relatives, known and unknown.
