Hello!! I’m Gary and Joyce (Fritz) Sieve's daughter. I enjoy family genealogy as a hobby. I’m the Grand daughter of Alois and Iva Helen Sieve, Wilmont, MN. My paternal great grandparents August and Caroline (Kohorst) Sieve came from Dinklage, Oldenburg Germany to Carroll County Iowa for awhile then to Wilmont MN, Nobles County to continue farming. The Rock Island Railroad ran from Carroll County Iowa to Nobles County, Bloom township and Wilmont Township. This was how August and Caroline traveled and with horse and wagon. Grandpa Al (August and Caroline’s son) farmed by Wilmont about four miles from town. Grandpa Al and Iva had four children ... JoAnn (Sieve) Johanning, Gary E Sieve, Carol (Sieve) Rupp, and Barb (Sieve) Estrem. Many siblings and cousins farmed the area too. Dad (Gary and Joyce) still live on the Al Sieve farm (my grandfather). Any ancestry info welcome!

My maternal grandfather Hank was born in Pembina County in Fargo, North Dakota and later moved to Lismore,MN and Wilmont, MN area. Grandpa Hank farmed in a small village area called St. Killian MN. St. Killian has a historical Catholic Church over 100 Yrs old, a beautiful country cemetery. The village when I was small was SMALL only a handful of people. It had a cool country store called St. Killian store and a Catholic grade school.
Grandpa Hank and Grandma Geneva farmed one mile from the Catholic Church. Later Grandpa Hank retired to Lismore, MN. Grandpa Hank & Grandma Geneva had seven children... Stan, Tom, Ann, Janice, Wayne, Joyce and Theresa. Family was all over in Iowa, Minnesota and North Dakota. Immediate family in St. Killian, MN, Wilmont, MN, Lismore, MN, Minneapolis (Golden Valley and Crystal), MN, Mankato, MN, and Adrian, MN. Again I’m the Granddaughter of Henry “Hank” and Geneva (Loosbrock) Fritz of Nobles County, Lismore, MN. Any info welcome!
My siblings are:
Lisa (Sieve) Springer (twin), Alexandria MN
Brad Sieve, Luverne MN (Rock County)
Joseph M. Sieve, Wilmont MN (Nobles County)
