I am also honoured to caretake/manage people who have died in the line of duty (LODD) or Killed in Action (KIA) so they are never forgotten. I knew many of them, or I have gotten to know their stories.

- I research and preserve history for the Phoenix (AZ) Fire Department/ IAFF Local 493 as well as Arizona Fire Service Line of duty deaths. I work with Special Ops, Honor Guard (yup I'm still on the job), and am the PFD Historian- I add and caretake Findagraves (FGs) for Phoenix Fire (https://www.facebook.com/PhoenixFireHistoricStation8/).
- I research and preserve history of deaths in international Mountain & General Search & Rescue, Fire Service, LEOs, and, unrelated others that I encounter in my searches.

- I research my paternal Kovacs family from and around Abujszanto, Hungary (Magyarorszag) and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and the U.S. as well as my maternal Kovacsik family from Slovakia and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and the U.S.

- I research my first wife's wonderful family, Offen & Sowers of Kansas and Arizona and my second love,
(Lisa Karyl) Drefs, (Adensam, Kozelsky-Kay, Horalek, Schwingenschlaegel) Johnstone.

- I help Cortez High School (Phoenix AZ USA) track our members and create memorials - with family permission- when they die. I was Class of 1977, spent my freshman year at Central HS (Phoenix AZ).

- Former career LEO & Rotary Wing human/non human external loads HeliRescue guy.
