As a youngster my Aunt Fran spent countless hours researching our family tree. I was intrigued when she told me that I was related to Roger Williams the founding father of , what is now, the state of Rhode Island. I remember wondering how I could somehow trace this linage myself one day. Fast forward to the 1990s. With the advent of the home computer I started in again on the 'fan' chart my aunt had so meticulously constructed so many years before. I now have now spent countless hours chasing relatives from long ago. It is a seemingly endless detective story that is at times frustrating but always great fun when new clues are discovered that help the story fall into place. And, yes, I found that I really am related to Roger Williams, my 9th great grandfather. Thanks Aunt Fran. The story continues....
