My grandmother and her siblings (born in rural Orangeburg County, South Carolina) were fairly obsessed with cemeteries. I've worked to link her family together and, where possible, maintain the memorials in a manner which she would have done herself, had she been born in the digital age.

I'm also interested in documenting the graves of the formerly enslaved people of her section of Orangeburg County. It has been a pleasure to work with Phillip Frazier on that project. We have a shared interest in the Pleasant Branch Methodist Church cemetery, now called the New Beginning United Methodist Church, of Norway, S.C.
