Please note: Find a Grave has updated it's transfer guidelines. If you are a child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great aunt/uncle, or first cousin of the deceased the person maintaining the page should freely transfer the memorial to you. I, myself, have encountered people holding my ancestors "hostage" and unwilling to transfer my loved ones memorial to me. It seems that numbers are more important than the living relatives of the deceased. It's really sad. Find a Grave clearly states, "Please show sensitivity to immediate and extended family members and their requests." I hope transfers go a little smoother now.
