Bio

I have always loved walking through old cemeteries. A 35 year genealogy enthusiast, I got my love of ancestry and history in general from my older cousin Mark, who was the keeper of all things family, long before me. I with the help of my husband, take care of 7 generations of my family plots now. ( 5 different cemeteries.)

As I would visit , bring flowers, clean up etc, I started noticing older stones left in disrepair, in some of these older locations. I added restoration clean up to my skills ( but only after obtaining authorization, and using National Cemetery approved products and methods only! )

I walk through Imagining about people's stories and stopping a minute to honor them. They were all once somebody. Someone's parent, child, spouse, sibling. Loved and missed. We will all be there at some point as well. I can only hope someone will care that I once was too.

Tell your loved ones what they mean to you while they're still here.
